This tree skirt is a sampler pattern inspired by the Songs of the Season. There are 8 distinct sections, and each one pays homage to a different holiday song.
1. Walking in a Winter Wonderland
2. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
3. I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas
4. Last Christmas
5. Silver Bells/ Carol of the Bells
6. Little Drummer Boy
7. White Christmas
8. Silent Night/O Holy Night/Mary Did You Know
The list of songs was created from a poll in my crochet-along group on Facebook. I took the chosen songs and created a Christmas CAL to go with it. With a little bit of creativity and ingenuity, you can change each song to represent something else if you prefer. Instructional videos are included for each section.
The finished tree skirt measures 48" x 48" and calls for worsted weight yarn. However, several people used a smaller hook and a DK yarn to make the skirt smaller for their trees. In the pattern itself, I have included all of the yarn information and variations from my testers to help you have an easier time choosing what you would like your skirt to look like.
